Deposits and Cancellation
How deposits work, and your cancellation rights.
A deposit secures your booking, parts order or scheduled work, and covers costs we commit to in advance on your behalf.
If you cancel
Where you cancel, we retain only what is reasonably required to cover costs we have already incurred and work already carried out, and refund the balance. Special-order parts and race fuel already obtained for your vehicle remain chargeable, as they are sourced specifically for your request.
Your statutory cancellation right
Where you enter into an agreement with us away from our premises — for example by completing and accepting it remotely — you have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Tell us by any clear statement, including by email to info@ppl-tuning.com. Where you sign in person at our workshop, that statutory right does not arise.
Work started within that period
If you have expressly asked us to begin work before the 14 days are up, and you then cancel, you must pay for what has already been supplied in proportion to the work performed. Software calibration is written for your individual vehicle, so once carried out you may lose the right to cancel in respect of it.
If we cancel
If we cancel, or cannot safely carry out the agreed work, you will be refunded in full except for work already properly performed at your request.
None of the above affects your rights where goods are faulty or a service has not been carried out with reasonable care and skill.
